Enable Java Plug-in For Internet Explorer

Java program is created by Sun Microsystems, a leading developer of computer software and provider of information technology services. Many application developers use Java programming language to create applications that can be run on any operating systems. A lot of applications are being created using Java due to its flexibility and adaptability.
For Java applications to be run on computers, it is necessary to have Java Runtime Environment installed on the computer. Once you have it installed, you should be able to run it without any issue. The JRE installation process adds a plug-in to widely used web browsers, and this includes Internet Explorer too. Enable Java plug-in for Internet Explorer 7 and 8
  • Launch Internet Explorer browser on your computer.
  • Go to the Tools menu at the top of the window and click on Internet Options. This will bring up the Internet Options window.
  • Click on the Programs tab and then click on Manage add-ons button. 
  • Here you can find the Java plug-in. Single-click the Java plug-in to select it. Now click on Enable. Repeat the process for each Java plug-in listed.
  • If you are using Internet Explorer 7, click the OK button and if it is IE 8, click Close to exit from the Manage add-ons dialog box. 
  • Finally click OK to close the Internet Options window. If you have any open browser windows, close them. Now that you have enabled Java plug-in, all Java-based applications will function properly next time you start the Internet Explorer.
Enable Java plug-in for Internet Explorer 5 and 6
  • Launch Internet Explorer browser on your computer.
  • Go to the Tools menu at the top of the window and click on Internet Options. This will bring up the Internet Options window.
  • Click on the Security tab and then click on Custom Level button. 
  • Scroll down to the section labeled Java VM/Java permissions and select the Low, Medium or High safety option.
  • Click OK twice to close the open dialog boxes, and then close all open browser windows. The Java plug-in will function properly the next time you start Internet Explorer.
