Setting Up Microsoft Outlook For Your Bellsouth Email Account

Most of the business professionals use Outlook as their primary email application. This is because more than being an email application, Outlook also comprises of features that help the users to store their personal information.   • In the first step, you need to open Microsoft Outlook 2007 in your computer. Now, select the Tools option followed by Account Settings.
  • Now, you can choose the New option from the Email tab. Go to the Add New E-mail Account dialog box and select the following options in order: Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP. Now, click Next.
  • In the next step, you need to choose the option Manually configure server settings or additional server types checkbox and then click on Next.

  • Now, select POP3 as your account type under the option Server Information and enter mail.bellsouth.net in both the boxes- Incoming Mail Server (POP3) and Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).
  • In the Username and Password fields, you need to enter your full BellSouth email address and password, and then check the Remember Password checkbox. Now, chose the option More Settings, Outgoing tab followed by the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
  • In the final step, you need to select Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button, and select OK. Now, click Next followed by Finish.
