- In the first step, you need to open Outlook 2010 application in your computer. Now, you need to click the File tab, which you would see on the far-left corner of the menu. Now, go to the Account Settings drop-down menu and select the Add Account option.
- Now, you need to check the Manually configure server settings option or Additional server types, followed by Next. Now, select the Internet Email option, and then click Next.
- You need to enter your information now. Type in your full name in the Your Name field, followed by your email address in the Email Address field.
- Now, select POP3 in the Account Type drop-down menu. Now, type in mail.comcast.net in the Incoming Mail Server field and smtp.comcast.net in the Outgoing Mail Server field.
- In the next step, enter you username in the User Name field followed by password in the Password field. At any point of time, you can also contact the Outlook tech support, to get more information about the Outlook setting.
- Now, click on the option More Settings and then choose the option available as Outgoing Server tab. You need to check the option My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication and then choose Use Same Settings As My Incoming Mail Server.
- Now, go to the Advanced tab and type in 995 in the Incoming Server (POP3) field. Here, you need to ensure that you have checked the box next to the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)option.
- Similarly, type in 465 in the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field. Now, click on the Use this following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu, and then select the option SSL. Now, click OK.
- In the final step, you need to check the settings by clicking Test Account Settings, which you can find on the Internet Email Settings screen. Once it is over, click on the options Close, Next and then Finish.
