Windows Live Messenger, which was formerly called as MSN Messenger, is the chat client provided by Microsoft for sending and receiving messages in the form of text.   • You may also enable Windows Updates to download and install the latest updates of Live Messenger in the future. To do this, go to Control Panel-> Windows Updates-> Change settings and select Automatically Install Important Updates. This will make sure that the important updates of Windows Live Messenger are downloaded and installed automatically to your computer in the future.
