Windows Server 2003 or Win 2K3 is one of the prominent OS from the house of Microsoft. The server operating system was launched in the market on April 24, 2003. There was an enhanced version of the OS known as Windows Server 2003 R2 that was released on December 6, 2005. There was again another successor for the Windows Server 2003 R2 that was titled as Windows Server 2008 that was launched on February 4, 2008. In short, we can see that the Windows Server 2003 proved to be the follow up OS version to the Windows 2000 Server. You can see that the installation of Windows Server 2003 has enabled setting up server networks for the new machines. It is expected that the Windows Server 2003 OS from Microsoft will no longer be in use after 2015. This is why Dell had offered their technical support along with Windows help services to help existing users migrate to the updated Windows OS version.

About Dell and Windows help

You can see that the OS of Windows Server 2003 was formulated on the similar core code as that of Windows XP OS and that it has since lost its mainstream technical support from Microsoft. This was a clever business move by the corporate giant mainly done with the intension to promote Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Now almost a similar fate is awaiting the users of Windows Server 2003. This is where Dell has decided to extend their technical support to the existing Windows Server 2003 users and help them to upgrade to the new version.

The UK sales director of Dell Services, Mr. Tim Loake recently stated that the new Windows Server migration service program would be able to provide every individual user with a custom made migration plan with adequate technical help at every stage.

Adding to that, he also stated that “Dell works with each customer to build a systematic Windows 2003 migration plan, aligned with the organization’s business needs. Our end-to-end solution handles every aspect of migration from the data centre to the endpoint, ensuring that any issues are addressed quickly".

The company also stated that the modernization services for the Windows OS would certainly provide the users with the technical assistance to adapt to the systematic migration process quickly. Windows Server 2003 is apparently just one of the numerous key products or OS by Microsoft that is on the verge of expiry. However, users find the information regarding extended technical assistance from other companies a real boon.
