Updating The MSN Messenger

Windows Live Messenger, which was formerly called as MSN Messenger, is the chat client provided by Microsoft for sending and receiving messages in the form of text. A number of versions of this service exist, as the product comes bundled with the OS.   • Click on the Install button to download the selected files. A status bar will show you the progress of the installation process. If you are currently running the Windows Live Messenger, you will be asked to close it as a part of the installation procedure.
  • You may also enable Windows Updates to download and install the latest updates of Live Messenger in the future. To do this, go to Control Panel-> Windows Updates-> Change settings and select Automatically Install Important Updates. This will make sure that the important updates of Windows Live Messenger are downloaded and installed automatically to your computer in the future.
